Did your cat end up in the emergency clinic, having a hard time breathing and needing oxygen therapy? On top of being really worried about your cat, you are probably in a bit of shock over the cost of an overnight stay in a veterinary oxygen chamber.
We created this site with you in mind.
In 2001, our beloved cat Luka went into severe respiratory distress after surgery and was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. We quickly realized two things:
- We could not afford repeated overnight stays to give him the oxygen therapy he needed.
- We wanted to do everything we could to take care of him to the very best of our abilities.
So we set about researching how to build our own oxygen chamber for him.
You can read the story of Luka here, and see what we did for him in addition to oxygen therapy.
Or go straight to instructions on how to build an oxygen chamber for your cat
We do not sell oxygen chambers. This site is here to help YOU build your own. Feel free to contact us with questions.
